Object of desire
There is a thing that gets hold of some people — the pull of an old, well-made object, and the urge to bring it back. To its former glory, or a little past it. With boats it bites hardest.
She needed no restoring. She came to us sound, in August 2019. But I like a boat neat, proper and true, and I like my varnish to look fresh.
