We completely renovated the front cabin — here is the process, starting with the final results.

Lining with fabric

After ripping out the old materials, we measured the cabin precisely, calculated the necessary material and prepared a cutting sheet for the leatherette used for the cabin lining. As expected, the job was complicated and required paper mockups first.

Original & stripping

Removing the prior materials was easy — the lining is glued against the hull and ceiling with contact adhesive of a certain age. The two side shelving units are screwed to the main stringer along both sides of the hull.
