Mast, rigging & deck
A total makeover of the masts and the standing & running rigging.

What we did
- New standing rigging (all wires replaced by a professional)
- New running rigging
- New gooseneck, boom-vang fitting & staysail deflector — over-engineered for heavy forces
- All monel rivets, chainplates, electrics & sheaves replaced
- A fresh coat of two-part polyurethane paint & anti-slip on deck
A professional was hired to replace all standing rigging (the wires) and to advise us of any other servicing necessary.
A new gooseneck was designed, along with the boom-vang fitting and staysail deflector — all over-engineered and made to withstand heavy forces. We also replaced all monel rivets, chainplates, electrics and sheaves.
This was a four-month process that ensures high safety standards and peace of mind. The electrics now operate well and the sails can be controlled perfectly.
While the masts were down, we also gave the deck a fresh coat of paint and anti-slip — all in two-part polyurethane. Looks good!
